Un-AI Text began in 2024 with a simple observation: large language models write competent, uniform prose that flattens individual voice and trips false positives across academic classifiers. We built a sentence-level rewriting engine to restore natural rhythm without changing your argument.
Why Un-AI Text Exists
When students, researchers, and professional writers use modern AI assistants to outline or brainstorm, the resulting text often arrives with machine-typical artifacts: uniform sentence lengths, over-represented transition phrases (such as moreover, delve, and testament), and a monotonous cadence.
Traditional “spinners” swap synonyms blindly, producing garbled text that corrupts academic citations and technical terms. Un-AI Text takes a different approach: our engine analyzes syntactic structure and applies deterministic pre-passes to vary sentence cadence, break repetitive clauses, and leave citations, numbers, and domain terminology untouched.

Un-AI Text is designed as a drafting aid, language-enhancement tool, and tutoring assistant. It is intended to help you improve the clarity, grammar, and natural readability of writing that reflects your own original research and critical thinking.
We believe transparency matters: our interface highlights every sentence modified during a run so you can review, accept, reword, or reject each change individually. Submitting work you did not conceive as your own constitutes academic misconduct at every institution. We urge every user to consult their course handbook and institutional policies before submitting any draft.
